That Chili looks soooo good! Goodness, if I end up finding it and getting an addiction again.... I'm still spending tons of money on Peanut Butter, lol.
The chili was so good, but it was NOT a dream to make, lol. I followed an instant pot recipe... the instant pot turns off completely and stops its cycle if it gets anything coating the bottom and yells "burn" at you. It had barely started the cycle before it quit. I had quinoa in the pot and was like "ummm what am I supposed to do now" because the quinoa had not cooked at all. So I ended up cooking it VERY SLOWLY by simmering it. It worked out eventually though! XD
Hahaha should I be sorry? I'm not feeling super sorry about it, peanut butter is sooo yummy!!
Lol. Luckily, the price of peanut butter has made me eat it in severe moderation, which has helped keep me getting a bit heavy. I eat it every morning on some fruit, but make sure not to use more than a spoonful.
Is that something your instant pot does or is that an overall safety feature for it to turn off like that? My MIL and I were talking about instant pots the other day because she was thinking of investing in one.
I think it's instant pots in general for safety, especially newer ones. I haven't seen anything that says like, "Your instant pot will explode if you burn the bottom of the pan" and more like "you don't want to instant pot food that will be burned and dry" I guess.
First time hearing that! All the ones I've seen here were kind of marketed off to me as being one in the same. If it's actually a pressure cooker, it now makes so much more sense that that feature would be included!
